Every parent wants what’s best for their child—on and off the court. When choosing an AAU program, look for one that teaches the game the right way, builds confidence, and surrounds your child with positive role models.
At SLT Hoops, we’re more than basketball. We focus on helping kids grow as players and as people, with coaches and mentors who care about effort, attitude, and development. It really does take a village...and we’re proud to be part of yours.
Travel basketball usually focuses on local or regional leagues or tournaments. It’s great for learning team concepts, improving skills, and getting consistent reps.
AAU exposure basketball takes things a step further. These teams play on bigger stages, often in tournaments with college coaches, media, and elite competition. Both have value, but exposure basketball is about competing at a higher level and gaining visibility for future opportunities.
At SLT Hoops, development goes beyond skill work. We teach players how to think the game, lead with confidence, and handle challenges the right way.
Your child will be coached on fundamentals, discipline, effort, and attitude! The habits that build consistency both on and off the court. Our goal is to develop complete student-athletes who grow as players, teammates, and young leaders.
SLT is for families and players who want more than just a team. We’re built on structure, mentorship, and accountability.
If your child wants to be coached hard, challenged to lead, and supported by a real basketball family, this is the place. We teach life through the game, and we hold our players to a high standard...because simply that’s what prepares them for success at the next level.
Playing for SLT is a full commitment. We expect our players to show up on time, locked in, and ready to work.
Practices, games, and team events are all part of the process, and we ask families to match that commitment with communication and support. When players buy in fully, they get the most out of what this program offers growth, opportunity, and results.
A normal practice schedule would be between an hour (1) to 2 hour practices during the later part of the week.
A game schedule can vary depending on seasons. For the Fall & Winter it's normally on Saturday's or Sunday's. For the Spring, with it being more tournaments it can vary to numerous tournament weekends with games on both Saturday's & Sunday's throughout the day.
